Reviewers love the SanDisk Sansa Clip+, a tiny MP3 player that provides big sound in a lightweight and affordable package. The Sansa Clip+ is only 2 inches tall, and it includes a wearable clip for running or the gym. Unlike the iPod shuffle, the Sansa Clip+ has a 1-inch screen, although some reviewers say it can be hard to read. One of the biggest improvements over its predecessor, the popular SanDisk Sansa Clip, is the addition of a microSD memory card slot, which greatly expands this player's music capacity. Experts say the Sansa Clip+ has great sound for its size (especially if you get some good-quality headphones), and most reviewers say it is the best MP3 player you can get under $100. The SanDisk Sansa Clip+ also comes in 4 GB (*Est. $40) and 8 GB (*Est. $60) capacities. If your budget is a little bigger, reviewers say the iPod touch (*Est. $230 for 8 GB) is the best MP3 player overall, and it includes numerous extras like a camera, Wi-Fi connectivity and thousands of apps.
We found the best reviews of the SanDisk Sansa Clip+ at CNET, PCMag.com and AnythingButiPod.com. All three offer a detailed test-based analysis, but CNET and PCMag.com have a rating system that makes it easy to identify the best MP3 players. ComputerShopper.com, PC Advisor and Electronista.com also have reasonably detailed reviews. Amazon.com is the best source for user reviews.
