Men don't lose iron each month like women, and experts recommend at most 8 mg of iron in a men's multi. GNC Mega Men multivitamins don't contain iron, but they do contain other important nutrients like vitamin D, vitamin A (50 percent as beta-carotene), folic acid and calcium. GNC seems to follow the "more is better" philosophy, especially when it comes to B vitamins. The GNC Mega Men multivitamin contains large amounts of thiamin (3,333 percent of daily value), riboflavin (2,941 percent) and vitamin B6 (2,500 percent). Upper tolerable intake levels (UL) aren't established for thiamin and riboflavin, and the B6 in Mega Men is well below the UL for that vitamin. Still, experts say these large doses aren't necessary because many food products are also supplemented with B vitamins. The GNC Mega Men multivitamin is approved in independent tests. If you prefer a multi with smaller amounts of B vitamins, the Kirkland Signature Mature Multi 50+ (*Est. $13 for 400 tablets) may be a good choice. It's designed for seniors, but Consumer-Reports.org says this "no-nonsense multi" would be a good fit for most people.

The best feedback on the GNC Mega Men Multivitamin comes from ConsumerLab.com, which tests 45 multivitamins in its latest review. ConsumerLab.com analyzes each vitamin to ensure it dissolves properly, contains what it states on the label and is not contaminated with lead or other toxins. Although most multivitamins don't attract many user reviews, the Mega Men multi gets a good amount of feedback on Drugstore.com and NutritionalTree.com. The reviews on Drugstore.com seem more credible, as many of the reviews posted to NutritionalTree.com sound strangely similar.
