Reviewers say that the Herman Miller Mirra compares favorably to the Herman Miller Aeron (*Est. $630 to $900), with a more modern design and comparable comfort. In fact, many owners say they opt for the Mirra over the Aeron after trying both. The Herman Miller Mirra is available in two models, basic (*Est. $600 to $800) and loaded (*Est. $800). The primary difference between the two is in adjustability: The extra $200 for the loaded version will give you adjustable lumbar support, armrests, and seat depth, and a tilt limiter. Not surprisingly, the loaded model receives higher user ratings. Unlike the three-size Aeron, both Mirras come in only one size that's designed to automatically adjust itself to its user (thereby requiring only minor adjustments to customize fit), a feature that most owners applaud. If you want a model that's as adjustable as the loaded version of the Mirra but costs less, you may want to consider the Steelcase Think (*Est. $690), which gets good reviews from experts.
