We found the best ratings of one-cup coffee makers at Consumer Reports, which ranks nine pod-using machines after lab-testing them. At Amazon.com, we found an avalanche of mostly positive owner reviews. The Nibble (a food blog) reviews the Keurig B60 after using it daily for two months. We also read an excellent review of this coffee maker at Jay Brewer's SingleServeCoffee.com.

Although all pod coffee makers brew too quickly for coffee connoisseurs, resulting in a weak brew, reviews say that the Keurig B60 makes the best brew of any single-cup coffee maker. The Keurig B60 offers some advantages over less expensive models; for one, you can brew up to 9.25 ounces from a single container of grounds, or "K-Cup." In addition, you can adjust the brewing temperature and serving size. Reviews say another major advantage of Keurig coffee makers is the large number of pods offered -- more than 100 varieties. Keurig also enables users to buy a $15 reusable filter and grind their own beans. If you don't want to spend as much and you like light, diner-style coffee, the less expensive Senseo HD7810 (*est. $70) looks like a good choice.
