Traditional online backup companies don't offer robust file sharing, so reviewers recommend Box.net for this. You get 5 GB of free space, and Box.net offers special features like online file editing and compatibility with mobile devices, including the Apple iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry and Android smartphones. Reviewers say Box.net is easy to use, partly because there's no separate software to learn. It's not a good solution for serious backups, however, because you have to manually back up your files. The free version has a maximum file size of 25 MB, but the business edition (*Est. $15 per user per month) offers 500 GB of total storage and a file size limit of 2 GB. In addition, some key features, such as file versioning, are only available with a business account. While Box.net has some recommendable features, reviewers prefer online backup services like MozyHome (*Est. $6 per month for 50 GB), which offer automated backup and more storage space.

Only a few reviewers cover Box.net, and most date back several years. TomsGuide.com and TopTenReviews.com have recent reviews, and an older review at Macworld is also helpful. Just keep in mind that some details may have changed since the review was written.
