Although USAA is thought of as available only to members of the military and their families, anyone can bank at USAA Federal Savings Bank. Reviewers have taken notice of some of its strong points, but the outstanding feature of USAA Federal Savings Bank is that its customers love banking there. USAA Bank ranks second in consumer ratings on MyBankTracker.com, with a rating of 4 out of 5 stars based on feedback from about 120 people. Yelp.com has almost 80 consumer reviews of USAA Bank and a higher rating -- 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Expert reviewers like USAA Bank, too. Kiplinger.com, for example, includes it on a list of the six best online banks in a December 2010 article, citing it especially for its mobile banking.  The editors of MyBankTracker.com, in their Bank Report Card for USAA, rate it 4 out of 5 stars based on customer reviews, rates and fees, and remote access.
