
The HP iPAQ 110 (*est. $265), released in 2007, is one of the more sophisticated PDAs available and boasts several technological advances over older Palm products like the Palm TX. (It's also sold directly through HP as the iPAQ 111) Reviewers rave about its bells and whistles like the speedy 624 MHz processor chip, generous memory with multiple expansion options and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. If you're looking to save some money and can live without wireless connectivity and the fastest processor, the Palm Tungsten E2 (*est. $190) is a decent budget alternative that is highly rated by reviewers.
Brighthand and MobileTechReview.com both conduct a thorough battery of tests to measure speed, performance and battery life, but Brighthand delves deep into the technical specifications of the hardware and software. PDA Street's review is somewhat cursory and does not include extensive testing based on real-world usage.

Impressed by iPAQ's broad array of features, MobileTechReview.com senior editor Tong Zhang writes, "For an entry level PDA, this iPAQ is pretty maxed-out." Zhang gives the iPAQ 110 an impressive four out of five stars. Although Zhang complains that battery life is not ideal, he doesn't hesitate to recommend it. PDAStreet.com's Troy Dreier is surprised that HP still makes PDAs without phone capabilities and calls these devices "museum relics" nearing extinction because of the spread of smartphones. However, Dreier is impressed and says the "iPAQ 110 reminds us of what we gave up when we let the PDA go" and says smartphones can't compete when it comes to screen size or using Microsoft Office Mobile programs like pocket Word and Excel.

Brighthand's Adama Brown conducts multiple tests, including measuring the iPAQ 110's processor speed, memory and battery life and compliments the iPAQ as a "solid model" and for its "tremendous multimedia performance." Brown loves that this loaded iPAQ is encased in a slight, sleek body that weighs a mere 3.68 ounces. Brown writes that the PDA is so thin and light that "you can literally drop it in a pocket and forget about it."

An overwhelming majority of comments are positive with satisfied customers praising its ease-of-use, convenience and small size. Negative comments range from poor battery life to lag-time issues when multiple programs run simultaneously.
