Skippy Creamy is included in more blind taste tests than any other peanut butter, and it places at the top or close to it in virtually every review. What pleases the palate are the sweet yet salty additions to the nuttiness, the aroma and the exceptionally smooth texture. It also maintains these pleasing traits in cookies and other recipes. If you want to avoid the trace amount of trans fat found in processed peanut butter, Skippy Natural Creamy (*Est. $2.40 for a 15-oz. jar) contains palm oil rather than partially hydrogenated vegetable oil. Neither product requires refrigeration, but regular Skippy has a longer shelf life.
We found no shortage of reviews and blind taste tests of Skippy Creamy. We were impressed by the number of times it was preferred over more than two dozen other brands. Cook's Illustrated magazine and SeriousEats.com had recent reviews of just creamy peanut butters. Skippy Creamy was also a favorite in reviews at two other publications: Cooking Light magazine and Good Housekeeping. We include a less formal review at TheWateryGourmet.com. Finally, KitchenDaily.com offers an impressive review of 32 peanut butters where Skippy Creamy falls in the top one-fourth.
