Skippy Super Chunk has the same ingredients and nutrients as Skippy Creamy (*Est. $2.40 for a 16.3-oz. jar) , which is the favorite in more reviews than any other peanut butter. Although chunky peanut butters are the focus of taste tests less often than creamy peanut butter, Skippy Super Chunk is a standout in several reviews. Testers give it perfect scores for taste and texture in one blind taste test of 32 peanut butters, and another panel loves the "ultra-smooth butter portion and the pleasantly salty flavor." In addition to an "abundance of nuts," it has an appealing peanut aroma and caramel color.
We found the best reviews for Skippy Super Chunk at Cooking Light magazine and KitchenDaily.com, which both conduct blind taste tests. Surprisingly, it didn't make it past preliminary testing at Cook's Illustrated magazine. We found fewer reviews of chunky peanut butter in general, but numerous reviews for Skippy Creamy also apply to Skippy Super Chunk, as the ingredients and nutrition are the same.
