The Unicorn Magnum Plus earns the most top reviews of any pepper mill we found. Owners say it's easy to use, it holds a lot of peppercorns and produces a nice amount of ground pepper. However, some find fault with the grinder's construction and some say it doesn't grind finely enough. Still, an impressive number of users say it's simply the best pepper mill they've ever owned.
Works like a charm. For those who want a pepper mill that does its job without muss and fuss, the Unicorn Magnum Plus earns high marks. As one user reports, "ground pepper comes out fast and with [minimal] effort" -- a sentiment that many echo. Its large capacity also draws compliments. Some owners complain that the unit can't grind finely enough, however, and one says the lack of fixed grind settings means you must rely on trial and error to get your desired size. Still, the vast majority of users rate this pepper mill very highly, reporting complete satisfaction with its performance.
Scattered complaints about flimsiness. While most reviewers give high scores to the Unicorn Magnum Plus, we did find some concerns about durability. A few owners say the plastic housing feels flimsy, and a handful of others report that the unit tends to break or fall apart. On the other hand, one user says the design of the grinding mechanism promotes efficient grinding, and most say the mill is dependable. One owner describes it as "a great little workhorse." The Magnum Plus comes with a one-year manufacturer's warranty.
