Corel AfterShot Pro

Pros
  • RAW processing
  • Supports layers
Cons
  • Limited file sharing
  • Lacks some basic editing tools

Corel AfterShot Pro is a competitor to Adobe's popular Lightroom software, which
provides a workflow and organizational solution for photographers and other
editing professionals. It supports RAW format files, and reviewers say Corel
AfterShot Pro processes and previews these large files very quickly. Reviewers
appreciate that AfterShot Pro supports layers, which allows you to work
separately on different parts of an image, and its noise-reduction tools work
very well, according to tests. Camera- and lens-distortion tools are another plus.
AfterShot Pro lacks some basic tools like red-eye reduction, however.

Overall, reviewers say AfterShot Pro is no match for Adobe Lightroom 4
because of its lack of some basic editing features and limited sharing options.
Geotagging is another feature experts would like to see. Although it previews
files quickly, Corel AfterShot Pro lacks the organization prowess of Lightroom,
and reviewers say the interface looks cluttered when dealing with large numbers
of images.

Corel AfterShot Pro doesn't attract as much reviewer attention as photo-editing software from Adobe, but we did find a few reviews from PCMag.com, PC World and Britain's ExpertReviews. These sources test and rate a variety of technology products, including software.
