The Panasonic Viera TC-P46G10 is the 46-inch member of Panasonic's well-regarded family of PG10 plasma TVs. The TC-P46G10 carries THX certification, and reviews say it produces great blacks and shadow detail. Panasonic's Viera Cast feature is included and it can display Internet content from partners such as Amazon Video on Demand, YouTube and Picasa. You will need a nearby network connection since there are no wireless capabilities. THX delivers accurate colors, but the dimmer light output mode makes the TV somewhat less impressive in a well-lit room. While some find the smaller 46-inch size a better fit for their viewing area, the price difference between this set and the 50-inch Panasonic Viera TC-P50G10 (Discontinued) is small, and both TVs should perform equally well.
The Panasonic Viera TC-P46G10 has been extensively reviewed in testing-based reports at CNET and in Home Theater magazine and Sound & Vision magazine. ConsumerReports.org also does testing, but discussion is much briefer and the smallest member of the series, the 42-inch Panasonic Viera TC-P42G10, is reviewed instead. We also found a smattering of owner reviews at Amazon.com.
