Update May 2010: This model has been discontinued. Please see our report on portable air conditioners for up-to-date reviews.

The 11,000-BTU DeLonghi PAC-T110P (and similar models) is more attractive than most other portable air conditioners, but the sleek styling and extra features add significantly to the price. This unit includes an extra hose to draw in outside air -- helpful when cooling a room that is hotter than the outdoor temperature -- plus standard features like an electronic control panel, a remote control and a humidifier-only feature. It exhausts water outside, so manual drainage is not required. Extras include boost, sleep, and smart fan modes, a timer and a built-in air purifier. Most owners seem to like this model, but some say that it is noisy and that the window insert is flimsy and hard to install. At 106 pounds, it's also heavier than most portable air conditioners.

ConsumerReports.org and Air-Conditioner-America.com review this model, but neither offers detailed information. We also found owner reviews for the DeLonghi PAC-T110P at Amazon.com and Epinions.com. Nextag.com displays an average customer rating for this air conditioner, but it doesn't include owner comments.
