We found the largest number of owner reviews for the Coby TF-DVD7107 at Amazon.com, where well over 100 owners have posted reviews (about a third of them negative). There are just a handful of owner reviews at Epinions.com. We found just one professional review, at Shape magazine, but the roundup is quite short and there's no mention of formal testing.

Cheap portable DVD players don't often get good reviews, but according to owners, the Coby TF-DVD7107 is a bit better than others in the sub-$100 price range. Most owner reviews are realistic about their expectations, saying that the 7-inch, 480x240-pixel widescreen is good in relation to the price. The built-in speakers on the Coby TF-DVD7107 aren't so good, reviewers say, but that's a criticism we found for many portable DVD players, even among more expensive models. Even some positive reviews warn that buyers should not expect durability, though, and the warranty is short -- just 90 days. The Coby TF-DVD7107 includes a bunch of extras: headphones, a car adapter and even a remote control. If you're looking for higher quality, most reviewers recommend the LG DP781 (*est. $140), which also has a 7-inch screen.
