Blue Max JD4000

This generator ran great for about 20 hours... now the engine starts up and runs, but the generator will produce no power. I've wasted hours of my life on the phone with absolutely no luck trying to find… details on the supposed "warranty" for this product. Amazon is unable to provide any information, the warranty numbers provided with the product are no longer in service, and any associated company I've found online all say they're not responsible for warranty repairs on this product. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra bucks for a product from a reputable company or buy it from another vendor who will honor their warranty claims.

Let's be realistic, I bought this generator because of it's price and good performance review. It does better then what I expected, too good to be true. Yes, it is not perfect in some areas like… documents, but you are the one who is paying for the all the cost. It will cost you more for having a nice book. In fact, I prefer to have a cheap document if I can pay less. The engine is the best engine I have so far, non of my other engine equipped tools can be started in 3 pulls from cold start (31 degree F). So far I only used it once, for testing purpose only. I had a 1600W heater connected to it, and it worked very nicely.

I purchased this from Amazon and a wheel kit from Homier. The generator arrived first and the box appeared undamaged so it sat until the wheel kit arrived. When I started putting on the wheel kit I noticed… the case on the generator was broken and one mount broke so I contacted Amazon. Well it appeared they didn't have anymore in stock so I agreed to a partial refund and would replace the case myself(I'm a mechanic). Well after locating parts and getting them, I repaired the case. I started to add gas and found the fuel tank leaked, apparently hit by the loose engine. I contacted Amazon again but since so much time had passed I couldn't get a refund. The operator(from India I think) gave me a $10. gift certificate. WOW, $10. !!!!!! Fortunately they are out of stock so no one else can order any but if you get one elsewhere, please open the box immediately and inspect EVERYTHING!!
