Great for Tailgating, Good value, easy to use, October 27, 2009Shop around, October 24, 2009I bought this in July 09 and only used three times. Every time I would have to prime at least 50 times and pull to start probably 20 times. I'm not at all impressed with this product. It is also very… loud. I'm comparing this to my 7500 watt generator that I use. It is not much quieter than that. Put it this way. I was wanting something smaller and quieter so that the wife could carry and start it since I'm gone in the evenings. A WOMAN WILL HAVE A TOUGH TIME STARTING....GUARANTEED! My wife probably couldn't start it.
GOOD for money! Don't let amazon bs you re shipping tho, October 16, 2009Stated on second pull, runs fine. Louder and heavier than Honda but I save half, 500 plus! Advertised as 2 DAY SHIPPING with free trial of amazon prime, but they refused. One told me it was not possible… to ship 2 day. Nonsense, even fedex can ship it in ONE day. I finally got a manager who shipped 2 day FREE as advert, BUT, I gave them the fedex hub address as they told me it would be shipped fedex. They sent it by some Freight Co. FORTUNATELY, Fedex staff know me and held it for me. Otherwise, who knows? I had to threaten rep #2 with fraud to get a manger, as it was clearly advertised free 2 day shipping. NOW I see they've changed it. Try to get at least free shipping, I got it for 499 total, greight price for apparently good unit. Recommended unless you can afford the honda or yamaha at over 1k each. This one has all the features, tho, just 10lbs heavier and maybe 10% louder. Good unit. BTW, my first problem ever w/amazon.
Great Value, October 14, 2009I received the HW2000i on time and in perfect condition. Filled the engine w/ the oil and gas, primed it 40-50 times, put the choke on full, pulled the recoil starter 6 times, and it fired up promptly! No… worries!! It runs great!! If camping, the inverter under a 1800 watt load is a bit loud, but what the heck, I only paid $468 includung shipping. It sure beats the pants off of the Honda in value. I still need to apply a heavy load to test the maximum output. So far I'm very happy with my purchase. Only time will tell how many hours the Honeywell will run without needing major service.
