The 3,100 psi Generac 6024 "performs very well and provides a great amount of power," says Bill Mikenis, the product expert at PressureWashersDirect.com. Hundreds of owners agree, with a near-perfect recommendation rate at many retail websites. Users especially like how they can customize water pressure for different jobs with the five spray tips. With a well-built engine and pump, the 6024 is a solid machine with a two-year warranty.
Powerful sprayer hits dirt hard and fast. The 6024 is the strongest residential gas pressure washer from Generac. Its 8,370 cleaning-power rating is more than three times as powerful as many electric pressure washers, and reviewers say it's noticeable. "We were amazed when it took 20 years of grime off our patio with absolutely no effort whatsoever," says one owner at HomeDepot.com.
Owners say it takes just one pull to start the horizontal shaft engine, made by Generac. An added benefit: To protect the motor, it automatically shuts off if the oil level drops. The engine isn't California Air Resources Board (CARB) compliant, but a similar Generac model does pass the state's emissions requirements.
Five spray tips cover broad range of cleaning jobs. Water pressure can't be changed using the 6024's trigger, but switching to a different tip gives this pressure washer a range of 2,600 to 3,100 psi. The "multiple tips cover every possible use," says a Lowes.com customer; many owners agree, listing a wide range of materials that can be cleaned well using the 6024. When not in use, the extra nozzles store on the pressure washer.
This Generac unit is "balanced and easy to maneuver with two easily accessible detergent tanks at the bottom," says product expert Bill Mikenis. Owners also praise the fast, straightforward assembly.
High-quality components for long life span. "Given the oversized 212 cubic centimeter Generac brand engine and the durable Annovi Reverberi brand axial cam pump, this model is a great choice for any homeowner looking to purchase a very good quality pressure washer without putting a large hole in their wallet," concludes Mikenis. Most owners say the 6024 is reliable and durable; the few complaints are mostly about the plastic water hose.
The high-performance spray gun is an upgrade from Generac's other residential pressure washers, and the 30-foot PVC hose connects to the back. A number of reviews say this plastic hose can crimp. So many owners choose to upgrade to a higher-quality material. The 6024 does include a two-year warranty.
