Reviewers say that the JVC DLA-HD100 home theater projector sets a standard that few projectors at any price can live up to. Blacks are often described as the best of any projector, and color, shadow detail, contrast and more are all considered top-shelf. A long zoom and generous lens-shift range make placing the projector easy in almost any viewing room. The JVC DLA-HD100 is also sold as the JVC DLA-RS2, which is sold only through certified installers. The DLA-HD100's main downfall is its price; other highly rated projectors like the Sony Bravia VPL-VW60 cost considerably less.

ProjectorReviews.com and ProjectorCentral.com are the two best sources for projector reviews, and both have weighed in on the JVC DLA-RS2 (the version of the DLA-HD100 that is sold through installers). The reviews of the JVC DLA-HD100 at Sound & Vision magazine and Home Theater magazine are balanced and competent but not quite as detailed as others.
