Beltronics RX 65

I got this for my husband because I was tired of paying for speeding tickets. Well we've had it for almost a year now and he hasn't got a ticket since!Finally we can start saving money! Anyway you have to… adjust the settings for your need but if you get it right it won't go off constantly and every time it has we always see a cop somewhere. It has also helped me when going to work. The only downside is that the mount thing broke pretty quickly after we got it so we had to improvise a mount with some velcro but the unit itself works great and is still going. Not sure what kind of mount would be better though. Great value for the price if you get about one speeding ticket a year.

This is essentially the windshield version of the Bel rx75 plus - which is the built in hardwired unit. The major difference in function is that this unit only detects laser and does not do anything to… block it. In fact, the laser detection is fairly weak since it is up on the windshield, not on the front bumper where the laser is pointed. The radar detection is very very good with very few false alarms. You can deactivate specific bands if you want (such as X which is rarely used and can cause most false alarms.)

I now have owned this radar detector for a little over a month and it has already saved me a few times. I bought the hard wire kit so it comes on automatically when I start the car. Well worth the extra… money. There have been no false alarms and it does not go off when you pass commercial property alarms. So when it does go off you know that it is real! I would highly recommend over paying $500 for the Escort. Good value for the money.
