Although the 28-inch-wide, 18.2-cubic-foot GE GTS18FBSWW isn't included in the professional reviews we found, it has better owner reviews than other budget-priced top-freezer refrigerators. It's a relatively basic "apartment-size" model without an ice or water dispenser or spill-proof shelves, but owners like that it is well lit and seems to hold more than similar-sized refrigerators. It does have gallon storage in the door, and the shelves can be adjusted to store larger items; plus, the condenser coils don't require cleaning. Some owners complain that it is loud, but most don't feel the noise level is bothersome. It's available in white and bisque, but not in black or stainless steel. If you want a larger top-freezer refrigerator, consider the Kenmore 74192 (*Est. $600).
