While other refrigerators have more capacity and far more bells and whistles, the Kenmore 64822 is a solid-performing top-freezer refrigerator that's a particularly suitable solution for apartment kitchens or other smaller spaces. At 18.2 cubic feet, its capacity is lower than most full-size refrigerator freezers. There's no icemaker (though one is available as a $90 option), and few other features except for glass, spill-proof shelves in the refrigerator compartment. Styling is considered attractive and the refrigerator features rounded doors. If you need a bigger refrigerator, and have a bigger budget, the Kenmore 78222 (*est. $1,050) is highly regarded, more energy efficient, larger and more feature-packed. The Kenmore 64822 refrigerator is white, but bisque and stainless steel versions are available.
While no professional reviewers have reported on the Kenmore 64822, there's a good assortment of user reviews at Sears.com. In addition, a top reviewer at Epinions.com, an independent user-review site, has weighed in with a lengthy report.

Reviews here are brief, but there's enough feedback from about 20 owners to see that the Kenmore 64822 leaves most users pleased. The most consistent complaint is excessive noise, but that's a fault most are willing to forgive in light of the refrigerator's value.

While many of Epinions.com's reviews are brief summaries from occasional reviewers, the Kenmore 64822 gets an in-depth report from one of the site's top reviewers. Pam Fitts finds some small quibbles with the refrigerator -- noise and small capacity, for example -- but loves the value, especially for small families.
