It performs well in one professional test, and most of the owner comments we read for this model were positive. However, the Kenmore doesn't have as many shelving or storage options as some refrigerators; two humidity-controlled crispers and a dairy compartment are included, but the shelves don't slide out for easy access and there are no half-shelves, beverage-can storage or door bins. We also saw quite a few complaints about noise, which some owners report is excessive. Others say the refrigerator is quiet. If you don't have quite enough space to fit the 30-inch-wide Kenmore 74192 in your kitchen, the apartment-size GE GTS18FBSWW (*Est. $550) is a few inches narrower but only has 18.2 cubic feet of storage.
