The 22.4-cubic-foot LG LBC22520SW (Discontinued) is a fairly inexpensive refrigerator compared to other bottom-freezer models. It has a built-in ice maker, but no ice or water dispenser. The LG is Energy Star-certified and has a nice variety of adjustable bins and shelves, including five gallon door bins that can be adjusted horizontally and vertically. Owners say the LG seems to hold more than similarly sized fridges, but some say it's noisy; others say it is very quiet. As with most refrigerators, the LG receives its share of reliability complaints. It's available in white, black, and -- for about $150 more -- stainless steel. If you need even more freezer space, the 25.1-cubic-foot Kenmore Cold Spot 59422 (Discontinued) is a highly rated side-by-side refrigerator. It also has a through-the-door filtered water and ice dispenser. However, this configuration is less reliable than others.
