The Maytag MFC2061HEW is a counter-depth French-door refrigerator with a 19.8-cubic-foot total capacity that gets good professional reviews, but it's one of the models included in a huge recall of 1.6 million refrigerators. The Maytag MFC2061HEW has a filtered water dispenser inside the door, which owners seem to like, but no ice maker. Other features include a well-lit interior, spill-proof shelves and electronic touch pad controls. It is relatively energy efficient, and exceeds the Energy Star standards by about 5 percent. All in all, this model offers relatively limited features and small capacity considering its price, and according to one large owner survey, Maytag refrigerators in general have the worst reliability scores of any brand. Note that this model has been recalled for an electrical problem. Owners can contact Maytag (which manufactures the Jenn-Air refrigerator) for a free repair at Maytag.com.
