The entry-level Robomow RM200 is the least-expensive robotic lawn mower on the market, but it can only handle very small lawns. It can only mow 2,700 square feet per charge. Once the initial setup is done -- laying perimeter wire around the area to be mowed -- it mows the area on its own. However, you have to take it 'to the mowing starting point each time you want to run it -- by carrying its 39-pound weight or by using an optional remote control (*est. $70). Unlike the more powerful Robomow RL1000 (*est. $2,000) or the LawnBott LB2100 Professional (*est. $1,950), the Robomow RM200 can't be programmed to go out on its own.

We found quite a bit of information about the new Robomow RM200, but no actual reviews of its performance. A phone consultation with robotic mower expert Kerry Clabaugh pointed out some of its limitations compared with models that can handle bigger areas.
