Among rain-can style showerheads, we found the best reviews for the Moen Velocity 6320, which includes both a rain-shower setting and a concentrated spray for effective rinsing. Users like its stylish design and say the showerhead is very comfortable to use. It's available in standard chrome; for about $100 more, you can get the same showerhead in brushed nickel, brushed bronze or antique bronze. One downside is that its wide width (eight inches) may require the installation of an extension pipe in some showers. It's also very expensive, especially if you want a finish other than chrome. If you don't want to spend so much but want a luxurious shower, owners recommend the Peerless 2-in-1 Shower System (*Est. $35), which combines a fixed and handheld shower for maximum coverage.
ConsumerReports.org and Fine Homebuilding magazine include the Moen Velocity 6320 in professional showerhead reviews, though only ConsumerReports.org appears to have tested showerheads. We found user reviews for this model at Buzzillions.com and FaucetDirect.com.
