Makes a hot, tasty brew. Owners say the Keurig K15, like its virtually identical predecessor the K10, makes a good, hot cup of coffee every time. Although some see the lack of a reservoir as a drawback, many more say that they love the idea of each cup of coffee being made with "fresh" water as opposed to water that has been sitting in a container. It has fill guides for 6, 8 and 10 ounce quantities. While there are hundreds of different pods available, you can also brew from your own grounds using the optional My K-Cup (Est. $15) [B01CU9WU10]. The one quibble most people have with the K15's performance is that it's quite slow, taking up to two minutes to brew a cup of coffee.
Just add water. The Keurig Mini Plus couldn't be simpler to use. Add water, insert a K-Cup, place a cup on the stand, close the lid and push a button. It even flashes blue to remind you to start the brew, red while it's heating, then turns sold red when it's dispensing. You have to add water before each cup and, according to owners, you lose a bit of fluid in the brewing process, so you might want to add a bit more than the amount you want to yield. The needle needs to be cleaned/cleared every few months or so, and Keurig recommends descaling every 3 to 6 months, depending upon how heavily the brewer is used.
A cute space-saver. One thing all reviewers agree upon is that the Keurig K15 is absolutely adorable. It comes in several colors, although those change frequently and availability depends upon where you purchase your K15, so we don't list them here. This Keurig has a very small footprint, which makes it suitable for even the most compact living spaces, and it weighs just under 9 pounds. The one complaint that we see the most is that this coffee maker is too small for tall coffee cups, but since the word "Mini" is in its name, we're not sure why that would be a surprise to anyone.
The Keurig K10 Mini Plus is included in ConsumerReports.org test of a variety of different coffee makers. This model is virtually identical to the Keurig K15, so this rating is still relevant. All pod coffee makers are ranked for first cup and repeat speed, temperature and size consistency, brewing range, taste and convenience.
