The Canon EOS Rebel T2 is an entry-level 35mm film SLR camera that provides both fully automatic and manual settings. Its main competition, the entry-level Nikon FM-10 (*est. $250), works only on manual. The Canon T2 is fast enough for family action shots, and quite light and compact for travel. Even experienced enthusiasts with more sophisticated SLR cameras like the T2 as an "everyday carry camera." It's considered a great "starter camera," but the Canon EOS Elan 7NE (*est. $460 with lens) offers eye-controlled autofocus and more scope for enthusiasts.
