The single-stage, gas-powered Toro Power Clear 210R is the latest in Toro's Power Clear lineup. Its relatively low weight (73 pounds) and self-propulsion system make it easy to handle. The 210R has a clearing width of 21 inches and is powered by a 141-cubic centimeter two-cycle engine. The Toro Power Clear 210R is rated to clear up to 1,700 pounds of snow per minute, with a throw distance of 30 feet. As of 2010, a version with an electric starter is available -- the Toro Power Clear 210ES 38593 (*Est. $560). If you need to clear a loose surface such as a gravel driveway but want to keep costs down, experts recommend the two-stage Craftsman 88957 (*Est. $700).
