Reliable reviewers still recommend the Ice Guard iG20 as a good studless snow-and-ice tire, especially if you're looking for a low rolling resistance tire (which can help gas mileage). However, the Michelin X-Ice Xi2 (*Est. $100) not only outshines the Yokohama on ice and snow, it also offers low rolling resistance and costs less.
ConsumerReports.org publishes the most detailed, test-based review of the Yokohama iG20, rating it against other winter tires. The Canadian Automobile Protection Association (APA) also ranks the iG20 against competing tires, but it offers less information about each tire.
