Owners recommend the budget DeLonghi DFH132 SafeHeat electric space heater, saying it's reasonably quiet and easy to use. It's one of the few heaters that can be set to keep the temperature just above freezing -- handy for storage areas. It's small and easy to carry, with a handle that stays cool. Two power levels (750 and 1,500 watts) plus a fully adjustable thermostat make it energy-efficient. The surface stays relatively cool, and the heater is stable but shuts itself off if tipped over or covered with something like a blanket. In summer, it can be used as a one-speed fan. The warranty is for one year.
