The Best heater for a small room, November 22, 2009

This is a great heater. It can heat up my bedroom pretty fast. It has plenty of heating ability. It is totally quiet. You can mount it on your wall if you want. You have to leave it outdoors for the first day because it smells bad. After that it's fine. This is the best heater I've ever had. It does not burn up the air and make me cough like those quartz heaters. I used to have a terrible chronic cough from using quartz heaters. I think the retail stores are really stupid for not carrying heaters like this one. Pretty much all they have is quartz heaters and maybe a few oil heaters. Ignore the negative reviews. I have not had any problems with mine. It looks like a very simple device. I doubt much could go wrong with it.

Great heater, November 22, 2009

My husband and I are very pleased with our space heater. It takes about 10 minutes to warm, it's quiet but extremely efficient in warming our large livingroom that feels drafty during the cold months. Additionally we love how light in weight it is and how touching the heater will not cause a burn as it does not get that hot. That's very important to us since we have an infant that soon will be crawling and walking around. Overall, we highly recommend it.

Stops Working after One Year, Poor Customer Support, November 19, 2009

This unit stopped working after one year. Even when it was working, it through sparks on start up, making it of questionable safety: I was reluctant to leave it on at night or unattended. DeLonghi will not replace it if it is over one year old, and any repair would cost more than the unit itself. If you have bought this unit, I would recommend returning it before the warranty ends. Delonghi is well aware of the reliability issues with this heater.

Excellent product so far, November 14, 2009
The heater is quiet and efficient. Perfect for a chilly kitchen. Hope that it lasts. Ordered the extended service just to play it safe.
Probably your best choice for a bedrom, November 14, 2009

Had it for over a year now, no problems. It is attached to the wall. It is one of the few heaters that does not produce any visible light, important for a bedroom. Quiet also. The only thing that heats faster are the quartz heaters, but having the bright red glow going on and off all night is probably not going to work for most people. So this is clearly the best choice for a bedroom. We run ours at low (750 watt) because it is a small bedroom and it just seems safer to have it on low. Saves a lot of money, we turn the furnace down to 45 F at night and are plenty warm while we sleep. I'm sure it would be great for other rooms, though a quartz would heat up a bit faster.
