Big heat from little Footprint, November 19, 2009

I bought two of these for my two-bedroom apartment in Cleveland. It gets C-O-L-D here, folks! This unit takes the chill out of the air in a few minutes, but doesn't over-heat the surface it's on. I put them on the linoleum, on the carpet, on end-tables. With both units on medium, I can get the livingroom, diningroom, and kitchen up to 68 degrees in just about an hour - with outside temps in the 40's, and a drafty, century-old building! They are fairly quiet, considering the heat they put out, and I appreciate the safety features, since I'm always walking into them and knocking them over with my giant feet. They just shut down until I set them upright again. Nice, LONG cords on these puppies means I can get them anywhere with limited outlets. I'm looking forward to many toasty nights this winter, thanks to my Lasko heaters - WITHOUT running my gas-guzzling furnace!

Works well, low price, November 17, 2009
I bought this for my relatively small office, which can get quite cold during the winter. It has very high ceilings, so I was worried the heater might be too small, but it's working like a charm. Low noise, and I like the different temperature options. I'd definitely buy it again.
Great heater, great buy!, November 17, 2009
This will heat a 12x 20 room to take the chill off on a 35 - 40 deg day if you run it for a couple hours without the central heat on. I leave it on high & it never gets warm to the touch, can't beat that for under $30.
Keeps me quite toasty!, November 16, 2009

This heater definitely puts out a lot of heat. I use it at work pretty much everyday. It took me a minute to figure out the settings so it wouldn't shut off after a little while. It stays warm too. I've had others that start off hot, with a weird smell, and then the heat function stops working and it's just cold air. That's not fun when it's 50 degrees inside the house (I'm convinced that my father in law is part polar bear). The only thing that I wish could be changed, is that it's not as quiet as I thought it would be. My other coworkers can't seem to really hear it, but i think it's because there are other noises going on that creates a white noise. I would still prefer this heater to be a little quieter. Other than that, I've had this heater for a couple months now and I am very pleased with it.

Two modes. On or off. Thermostat is useless., November 16, 2009

This heater is good at keeping a room warm. However, the thermostat is pretty useless. It seems to be either always on or always off. If I put the knob in the middle before I go to bed on a cold night, I'll wake up in the middle of the night in a sauna. It will not turn off after it reaches the temperature I would like. Also, it will not turn on after the temperature drops to a certain level. I would like to be able to set it at night and not have to keep getting up to turn it on and off.
