Optimus H-5210 Infrared Quartz Heater

This little heater was great while it lasted. We used it for about 6 months for 30 minutes per day. Then one day it just stopped working. I'm not sure but I think the thermal cut-off switch was triggerd… and then didn't reset after cooling down. Why is it so hard to find good quality stuff that lasts? I remember a little electric heater my parents bought when I was a kid.... it lasted 15 years.

This heater is okay, but I didn't realize when I bought it that it didn't have a thermostat control. I purchased it for a room in my parent's house that needs to stay warm because of some equipment.… However, without a thermostat, it just keeps running and you can't control the temperature. So, I was disappointed and had to find another heater to do the job. If you don't need that control, it's a good heater and produces a good amount of heat for a small room.

I'm a Floridian living outside my home state for the first time, and I bought this because my AC wasn't working and the weather was way colder than I'm used to. This was the first space heater I had ever… made contact with, and I suppose it does the job well enough. I have some doubts that it will keep me warm enough come January, but we'll see. It's quiet and safe enough that my cats can sleep in front of it without incident, so I'm not displeased with my purchase.
