It's not the most exciting or feature-packed sport watch, but reviewers say the Tech4O Accelerator Runner RM1 for men (and RW2 in pink for women) is a good basic watch. It boasts a chronograph for timing laps and splits, and an internal accelerometer for tracking pace and estimating distance. Reviewers say they like the slim, lightweight design that comes in black for men and pink for women, and they say the Tech4O Accelerator running watch provides accurate measurements. However, several users are frustrated with the setup process, which they find overly complicated. According to these owners, the user manual is confusing and provides little help in setting up the watch. Still, most owners posting to online review sites say they are happy with this sports watch, and they like being able to track their distance (estimates are about 95 percent accurate) without the added expense of a GPS watch. The Tech4O Accelerator running watch does not include a heart rate monitor or GPS functionality, and if you need those features, experts recommend the Garmin Forerunner 210 (*Est. $200; $250 with heart-rate monitor).
We found the best reviews of the Tech4O Accelerator RM1 running watch at Amazon.com, where about 50 owners review the women's version (the pink RW2). The men's version gets far fewer reviews, but Amazon.com is still the best source of information on this sports watch. About.com also provides a detailed review, although it's geared toward walkers, and Women's Health magazine highlights the Tech4O Accelerator in a brief review.
