Pre-wash stain treatment
- Works on coffee, grass and barbecue sauce
- Easy to use and safe for most fabrics
- Not very effective on blood stains, mustard or lipstick
Different testers achieve different results with Shout pre-wash stain treatment. At Slate.com, Dan Crane tests seven stain removers, and Shout receives the third-best score. In a video report from GoodHousekeeping.com, Shout serves as the control product. The video does not show the use of Shout, but a report from ABCNews.com provides the details. In testing by the television station CP24 (Toronto), Shout is one of four stain removers tested.
Shout pre-wash stain treatment is sprayed onto stains before the garment is laundered. In testing, Shout works well on coffee, barbecue sauce and grass stains, but not as well on stains from blood, red Jell-O or grape juice. For instant stain removal, the Tide to Go (*est. $4) pen is more portable and is good for removing fresh stains.
