Owners say the hydraulic resistance steps are quiet. There is an electronic display for keeping track of the time and the number of steps, but there is no heart-rate monitor. The moving handlebars help you get something of an upper-body workout, but some users find the handlebars difficult to use because there is no resistance and the bars can fall to the floor if you're not careful.
