The Haan SV-60 Steam Vacuum is Haan's foray into the burgeoning steam-vacuum category. Like other Haan models, the SV-60 is capable of sanitizing in just one second with 212 degree F steam released continuously through multiple holes. It also heats up quickly and is ready to use in only 40 seconds. The Haan SV-60's removable water tank holds 18.59 ounces and is reported to be able to clean for up to 40 minutes. On the vacuum side, the SV-60 has a wet vac motor that allows you to steam and vacuum simultaneously and a HEPA filtration system. At 11.8 pounds the Haan SV-60 is heavier than other steam mops, but reviewers report it glides easily. The power cord is shorter at 19.7 feet compared with the 30 feet on the Bissell Steam & Sweep 46B4 (*Est. $130) and Shark Vac-then-Steam (*Est. $130).
The Haan SV-60 also has a high profile, which can make it difficult to clean tight spaces such as corners and under cabinets. Included with the Haan SV-60 is a high pile carpet glider to increase the height of the steam vacuum so it can be used on higher pile carpets.
