- Quick and easy to fold
- Optional bassinet accessory
- Easy to maneuver
- Expensive
- Prone to tipping
- Limited storage
The Micralite Toro is a full-featured stroller that gets a mixed response. Fashion-conscious reviewers give it high marks for design, and it stands up well to expert testing for practicalities like safety and maneuverability. Not all of the feedback is positive, though. One professional reviewer notes that the storage is poorly designed, and that the handles are difficult to adjust. Owners also raise concerns about this stroller tipping when bags are hung over the handle, a practice the manufacturer discourages. On average, though, the Toro gets solid marks, and reviewers say it's an excellent choice for urban parents in particular who can afford it. Otherwise, the Inglesina Zippy (*Est. $350) gets solid reviews, looks classy and has height-adjustable handlebars. If you want a bassinet accessory, the pricey Uppababy Vista (*Est. $670) includes one, along with many other accessories.
Three top stroller reviewers cover the Micralite Toro. "Baby Bargains" has some interesting critical analysis of Micralite in general and of the Toro in particular. ConsumerReports.org continues its trend of testing models thoroughly but not including any detailed analysis that expands on its comparative ratings charts. Cookie magazine has a fairly detailed write-up based on feedback from the magazine's parent testers. We also appreciate the owner perspectives reflected on Amazon.com.
