The Lenovo ThinkPad X200 Tablet (Multi-Touch) adds a multitouch-capable display to the popular ThinkPad X200 Tablet (*Discontinued), a laptop with a swiveling display that converts into a tablet. The 12.1-inch display responds to multitouch gestures in addition to input from the included stylus. Whether or not the tablet is equipped with a multitouch display, it includes a 160 GB hard drive, 2 GB of RAM and a 1.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400 processor. It weighs 4.2 pounds.
Although reviewers have good impressions about the ThinkPad X200 Tablet, most experts say choosing the multitouch screen makes it even better because that display is very responsive. Battery life is very good -- lasting seven hours in one test. Overall performance is good for a convertible tablet, but the Lenovo ThinkPad X200 Tablet (Multi-Touch) won't earn any speed awards. Several reviewers say the keyboard is the best of any tablet PC. The Lenovo ThinkPad X200 Tablet (Multi-Touch) is still available, but a new model has been released, the Lenovo ThinkPad X201 Tablet (Discontinued). Although more expensive, this version addresses many of the complaints reviewers had about the X200 Tablet -- it includes a faster processor and you can add an optional touchpad for navigation.
