Better than Taxcut for Investments, November 8, 2009

I've used Taxcut in previous years but this year I had a large number of short term stock transactions so I went with TurboTax instead. It worked great. I imported 50+ transactions directly from my brokers (Interactive Brokers & Schwab) without a hitch. I didn't have any 'wash sales' so this worked well for this tax year. I didn't find much difference in other areas and 1 free eFile was enough for me so I'm happy.

TurboTax 08, What More Nasty Surprises or Bugs Next Year?, May 6, 2009

I bought TurboTax Delux 08, Federal only. I had enjoyed good experience in previous years with this product. I bought the best price available at the time. I had misgivings due to the uproar over Intuit's limiting each license to one return, but I understood that that consumer outcry had forced a reversal of that policy. However, when I opened the mailer I could find no evidence that the product was not limited to one return in spite of Amazon's assurances. I had to load the product and read the license to be certain that I could produce more than one return. The one bug that continued to derail my work was this; in entering data for Schedule C, every time I encountered the "Use of Car in Business" screen, and tried to close or bypass it, the program forced me onto a "Log on to Internet" screen. This could not be closed, or backed out of - attempts just locked up my PC. After restarting the program, I had to leave "Interview" and go to the Schedule C form to finish the data entry. I have never encountered a bug in previous editions of TurboTax.

It is great for our needs. I appreciate that they incorporate the new tax laws and provide questions to help us utilize them wihtin the proper limits.
Turbotax Review, April 27, 2009
This Turbotax package was the standard package. Prior to order my concern was about duplicate but it was authentic software. That is all matters in case of software.I happy with the product I received.
Thanks
