Unlike its larger sister, the full-size Bodum Ibis (*Est. $40), the Bodum Mini Ibis makes tea for one or two and isn't cordless. It does share some features, such as an automatic shut-off and a body that stays cool while heating. On the whole, we found positive reviews of the Bodum Mini Ibis, including those who say it's a fast boiler and a good value for the money, if you want a small-capacity electric kettle. We didn't find much competition for the Mini Ibis because most small "personal" tea kettles are stovetop models. We did find one other small electric, the West Bend 6400 1-Quart Electric Tea Kettle (*Est. $27) that also fared well in user reviews, but some say the automatic shutoff feature doesn't function well.

User reviews are the most helpful resource in judging the Bodum Mini Ibis electric tea kettle, because it hasn't been included in professional reviews. Amazon.com has by far the most reviews of this kettle. We found a few other individual reviews helpful. One tester at AssociatedContent.com contributes a detailed review.
