Supersmile Professional Whitening System is gentle on teeth, doesn't cause sensitivity and is as easy to use as a toothbrush. Reviewers also like that it isn't messy and that it doesn't require a big investment of time. On the other hand, it doesn't produce as dramatic results as other whiteners. If you prefer a stronger teeth whitener, reviewers say Crest 3D White Whitestrips Advanced Vivid (*Est. $40) is an excellent over-the-counter option, but it isn't as gentle.

Performance

Subtle whitening. Like all over-the-counter teeth whiteners, results vary with the Supersmile Professional Whitening System. Testers at TotalBeauty.com noticed results within a day and overall whitening of about 3.5 shades over the course of treatment. Several reviewers at TotalBeauty.com, Amazon.com and MakeupAlley.com say the formula works very well. One reviewer at MakeupAlley.com says, "After using this for one week, I just can't get over how the yellowish stains have disappeared."

Others, however, aren't so impressed. One user at TotalBeauty.com says, "I saw no whitening at all, but my teeth are very white anyway." Safety
