Professional reviewers have almost completely discontinued reporting on standard-definition TVs, CRT TVs and small-screen TVs. However, good guidance can still be had at from user reviews at retailer sites and elsewhere. In the case of the 20-inch Emerson CR202EM9 TV, Walmart.com provides enough feedback to indicate that most owners are pleased thus far.
Reports say that the 20-inch Emerson CR202EM9 television delivers both good picture quality and good sound. This set uses a flat picture tube for less glare. The TV has few features, however, and the tuner is not QAM-compatible, which means that cable subscribers will need a converter box to receive digital signals whether or not they are scrambled. The tuner is digital, though, which means that this TV will not become obsolete when analog broadcasting ends in early 2009. If you want a larger TV, we found good reviews for the 27-inch Sansui DTV2760 (*est. $255).
