Bottom line

The Babolat AeroPro Drive GT is the tennis racquet of choice for players who love power and spin, however the racquet's stiffness decreases accuracy on volleys and finesse shots.

Performance

Spin city. The Babolat AeroPro Drive GT's prominent attribute is widely considered to be its ability to create massive amounts of spin. Its fast swing speed also helps players generate more power in their shots, as the tester from Tennis-Warehouse.com says, "The increase in power I get from this stick versus my own is quite noticeable. I was able to hit heavy shots with great pace and depth."

The AeroPro is generally considered a baseliner's racquet (a player who prefers long powerful shots from the back of the court); however, it is great for slicing and kicking your serves as well. A TennisExpress.com review stated, "Every power swing felt like an ESPN-type highlight shot just waiting to happen."

Ease of use

Stiff as a board. While many feel that the Babolat AeroPro Drive GT is lightweight (11.3 ounces strung) and maneuverable, a number of players complain the racquet is too stiff. One tester for Tennis-Warehouse.com explains his apprehension, "… since I have some existing arm issues I would be concerned with the stiffness level. It lacked touch on finesse shots." Built for power with its stiff frame, another tester complains it lacks "feel and precision" on volleys. If you have arm issues, the stiffness of the AeroPro Drive GT could prove problematic, but most find that the racquet has good mobility and is easy to maneuver.
