Intended for summer use on luxury sedans, the Bridgestone Turanza ER300 performs almost as well as the top-rated Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 (*Est. $235) in one independent test. The Turanza ER300 gets especially stellar traction on dry roads, experts and owners say. It carries Bridgestone's Ecopia symbol, signifying that it was designed for low rolling resistance to save fuel.

One expert test confirms that the Turanza ER300 does use slightly less fuel than the average summer tire. Like most high-performance summer tires, the Turanza ER300 is expensive and carries no tread-life warranty. You can get similar performance for less money with the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec (*Est. $150), reviews say.

Which? magazine, a U.K. consumer publication, includes the Bridgestone Turanza ER300 in its rigorous summer-tire test. We found more than 1,800 owner reviews of this tire at TiresTest.com, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's website posts the Turanza ER300's official temperature, traction and tread-wear ratings.
