Reviewers recommend the Yokohama Avid V4s as an excellent budget high-performance tire; they say it's comfortable and reasonably quiet, and it carries a 60,000-mile treadwear warranty, which is long for a high-performance tire. In mild climates, reviewers say it handles well, even on wet roads. While it's labeled as an all-season tire, tests show traction is poor on ice and snow.
