FIRE HAZARD, February 3, 2009
WELL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT JUST LEFT -- I WAS TRYING TO MAKE 5 CHEESE STICKS IN IT... THE THING STUCK ON.... AND THE APARTMENT BUILDING CENTRAL FIRE DETECTOR WENT OFF.....

F.........U...........K`....... SPEND MORE AND AT LEAST BE SAFE...

THIS THING IS GOING IN THE TRASH!
Run in the opposite direction!, March 26, 2006

The most horrible toaster oven I have ever owned! Save your money and buy something else. These people do NOT understand what the word LARGE means. I should of known better because of the cheapness. No broiler pan provided, a crumb tray that is a joke, and a minimally adequate bake pan. Do not try to broil a thick steak because the top element would be too close to the meat. Run, don't walk away from this deal!!! I asked for STANDARD shipping and it cost me a very few dollars less than the price of this product?

2. Real Simple

The Proctor-Silex 31115 Toaster Oven is tested here among other models. Real Simple editors like the retro styling and its performance with frozen foods. They give it a Best Buy designation. However, editors don't tell us much about how they tested ovens.

3. Amazon.com

More than 30 owner reviews here give the Proctor-Silex 31115 Toaster Oven 3.5 out of five stars, a very good rating for a budget-priced toaster oven. Owners like the fact that it has some features that even more expensive toaster ovens lack, such as auto shutoff and broil functions. They complain of the ticking sound of the timer and the fact that it is limited to 15 minutes. Similar to other toaster ovens, there are some complaints of defects, but they are relatively few when compared to positive reviews.
