This four-slice toaster is the larger sibling of the Cuisinart Compact 2-Slice Toaster CPT-120 (*Est. $30) , and it gets similar reviews. Fifty bucks is actually a good price for a four-slice toaster (some, like the more highly rated Breville Die-Cast 4-Slice Smart Toaster BTA840XL, cost almost triple the price). On the downside, owner-written reviews are mixed for the Cuisinart four-slice toaster; although many are happy with it, others complain of uneven browning, over-browning or having to run toast through two cycles. On the plus side, a bagel setting is included, and there are two sets of controls. On the whole, this toaster gets stronger overall reviews than other four-slice toasters in its price class.
