If water efficiency isn't a priority for you, the Toto Drake CST744SG-01 is a great option. It uses 1.6 gallons per flush (gpf) and features Toto's G-Max flushing system, which keeps the bowl cleaner and reduces cleaning time. With a powerful flush, a MaP score of 1,000 and few leaks, you can't go wrong with this toilet.
Standard toilet with bidet options. The Toto Drake CST744SG-01 is similar to the Drake CST744S but with the addition of Toto's G-Max flushing system. Because the two models are similar, we include sources here that discuss the CST744S for feedback on features that the two models share.
This two-piece toilet uses a tower-flush mechanism and isn't WaterSense-certified. There's no built-in bidet, but it's compatible with most bidet attachments designed to work with standard toilets. The seat must be purchased separately.
Powerful flushing. The CST744SG-01's G-Max flushing system includes a 3-inch flush valve and wide, 2.125-inch trapway for maximum flushing power and solid waste removal. The toilet earns the highest Maximum Performance (MaP) score possible of 1,000, which means it can remove a hefty 1,000 grams or more of solid waste in a single flush.
The Toto Drake uses 1.6 gpf, and reviewers say it does an exceptional job of keeping the bowl clean with each flush. Owners praise Toto's SanaGloss finish, which prevents bacteria and debris buildup. A few say it reduces cleaning "by half."
Standard height, great customer service. The Toto Drake CST744SG-01 is available only in pure white. Its seat height of about 14.5 inches doesn't meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, but its elongated seat is comfortable for most users.
Although users post a few complaints of defective toilets, Toto's customer service handles most situations flawlessly. One Amazon.com owner reports an issue with a defective seal that costs more to replace than the toilet itself, but says Toto was extremely helpful and sent a replacement seal free of charge. The CST744SG-01 is backed by a one-year limited warranty.
